Mike Aron Tod is a folk/ old time  country musician  from Calgary.

Mike Tod is the old west. The work ethic, the worn boots and the strong, proven chords. He learned his trade from singing cowboys on dusty 78s, he practices it in his camper, parked outside Calgary, Alberta. Fueled by a boundless curiosity about the world, he is a student of the traditional beliefs, myths and tales that make up Western folklore.

In the tradition of roving troubadours Mike carries the seeds and pollens of story and song. He is a highway poet, moving forward by looking back: a storyteller with tales to tell.

 Chris Gheran http://www.chrisgheran.com

lead singer/songwriter, acoustic guitar, keyboard
Chris Gheran released his fourth album, MATTERHORN, October 5, 2012 at the Ironwood Stage & Grill in Calgary to a full house. Coming out of a dark phase of his Hard Folk, Gheran has exposed his "silly" side with the second track "You'll Do."
"Brian Farrell was amazing. He taught me a couple of vocal strategies that really paid off!", says Gheran about his performance coach.
Fresh from Alberta Showcase (Arts Touring Alliance of Alberta), Gheran found that he had been selected to perform at 2013 Canadian MusicFest following an invitation to accompany Bow Valley Music Club to Folk Alliance International. A 30-60 day Military Tour is in the works for the fall of 2013.
Gallery House Concerts relies on Gheran to host its monthly concerts at which he sets up sound and prepares the audience for the touring act.
As opener for The Fray May 2011, Chris Gheran showed himself as an accomplished entertainer -- the audience was engaged by his singing and his relevant banter. He also performed at the 2010 Calgary Folk Music Festival and Tongue on Post in January 2011.
In August, JackFM and Chris's incredible fans voted Chris best busker in Calgary with a prize of $5000.
Chris is the recipient of two $10,000 grants from Alberta Foundation for the Arts and Rawlco Radio helped support "Calgary" Gheran's third album.
Earlier in 2010, Chris opened for the Wailin' Jennys in Knox United Church.
Read Christine Leonard's review of Chris's Coup d'etat in BeatRoute.
Chris opened for Jonathan Richman with a phenomenal solo set in concert at the Martha Cohen Theatre in the Calgary Centre for the Performing Arts as part of Sled Island 2008.
Energy 101.5 interviewed Chris as did both CJSW and X92.9 with live performances. The band was highlighted in Bands to Watch. Chris won a singer/songwriter contest at Shotz Bar & Grill, and he and his band were semi-finalists in both the FUEL 90.3 rock Star 2008 and Blind Beggar Big Rock/X92 Original Music Showcase. Chris performed in Revelstoke and was a finalist at Rockanagan in Kelowna.
Complimentary reviews have been published by The Calgary Herald, Swerve, FFWD, BeatRoute, The Gauntlet, and the SAIT Weal.
