The music of Autaric has been described as blistering, raw,
uncompromising, smashing your face in with a sledgehammer of brutality,
compared to the likes of Zyklon, Absu, Panzerchrist, and Entombed.
Relentless Blackened Death Metal unique to the prairie scene.
The band formed in 2007 after its core members met at a summer festival
in SK. With the unique aspect of that each bandmate lived more than
100 km apart from one another, they began networking online and
spending weekends driving over the following winter, getting together to
jam and party. In 2008 the band began playing live shows, and also that
summer recorded a few demo songs and a live untitled album, both of
which were briefly available online for listening but never officially
released.
After a solid year and a half of playing shows, the
band traveled to Regina to record their self-titled EP, with Justin
Bender at Touchwood Studios. It was released on March 20th, 2010, and
the band spent the year traveling abroad on a series of mini tours
through both Alberta and Manitoba, promoting the album. To Date, only
150 copies have ever been made. The band has previously announced that
they have no plans to print more copies of the album.
In
January 2011 the band returned to Touchwood Studios to work on a more
thorough, up to date album that better reflected their current live set.
Working again with Bender, they recorded the full length Death
Propaganda, covering work in their career that spanned from songs
pre-dating the band, to songs that had yet to see the light of the
stage. Released on April 8th 2011, the album was well recieved by the
public and seen several positive reviews. After playing a few shows
abroad their home province in support of the disc, the band embarked on
the Stagmata Propaganda Tour with their brothers in Celestial Machine
covering several cities across Western Canada. Kryosphere
