Formed in 1993, Texas Flood began as a tribute to the late Texas blues man Stevie Ray Vaughan. Over the years Texas Flood has expanded its repertoire to include a wide range of blues and rock classics. Texas Flood began adding original music to its setlist in the late 90s and released the first Paul Kype and Texas Flood CD "Get It In Ya" in 2003. Texas Floods original songs have recieved some Canadian radio airplay and have become a standout of their live shows. The Bands mixture of well known covers and great original songs continues to impress audiences across Canada.

PAUL KYPE & TEXAS FLOOD A FUNDRAISER FOR THE FORT WHOOP-UP INTERPRETIVE SOCIETY

Lethbridge, AB. - On Saturday February 20th, Coyote Joe’s Rock ‘N’ Country bar will play host to Paul Kype & Texas Flood. This group began in 1993 as a tribute band playing the music of Texas blues man, Stevie Ray Vaughan. Over the years their sound has expanded to a wide range of Blues and Rock classics. Their concerts mix well known cover songs with some of their own original music including tunes from their 2014 CD, “Long Time Comin”. A Texas Flood concert includes the superb guitar stylings of Paul Kype and music that gets youngsters of all ages up and dancing.
The show on the 20th is not just a great evening out. It is also a fundraiser for the Fort Whoop-up Interpretive Society with proceeds going to them in support of their ongoing efforts to preserve and present the history of Lethbridge and area. Advance tickets are $10.00 and can be purchased on line at www.thejoe.ca, Coyote Joe's or at Average Joe’s Sports Bar. Tickets the day of the concert will be $15.00. The Texas Flood concert will start at 8:30 P.M. at Coyote Joe’s, 1025 Mayor Magrath south.
