Dean Selena www.myspace.com/deanselena   including Richard Leigh Doerksen, Enzo, Daniel Puurveen, was formed in January 2009, on a farm just outside Lethbridge, AB. Whether it be the fresh air or the nearly waterproof jam space, the farm has been a haven of creativity for the members. With playing styles as diverse as their record collections, Dean Selena has found continuity within their assorted tastes, relying on feel. Live shows consist of three piece magic; lots of room to breathe, tight rhythm and improvisation. Ambient intro’s and segues keep shows smooth and interesting. A band with not much to say but lots to play, Dean Selena fills any space with inspiring melodic groove. Their debut album ‘What Is Unchanged?’ is to be released January 2010, with prospective success and popularity. Suspended somewhere between the worlds of roots, rock and blues, ‘What Is Unchanged?’ is assured to be welcomed by a wide range of listeners.
