Talented local songwriters Chris Drew and Joel Stretch joined Calgary songwriter Carter Felker for an intimate set of music played in a songwriter in the round at the Owl Acoustic Lounge, Friday, May 17.
Stretch and Drew strummed tender melodies and opted to play heartfelt ballads on their acoustic guitars while Carter Felker played some fantastic fingerpicked licks on his Telecaster and went with his more quirky, earthy story songs.
Each of the three musicians took turns playing their own songs.
Carter Felker played several songs from his most recent CD “ Even The Happy Ones are sad,” but also played a new song including a highlight about “bullshitters” including a variety of well know blue collar adages.
