The Lethbridge Folk Club has some excellent shows lined up for 2009-2010.
Their new season begins Sept. 19 with Kris Demeanor and his crack band at the Lethbridge Folk Club. The show will begin at 8 p.m. with Dusty Dee opening.
The Folk club welcomes some big name Nashville musicians to the Wolf’s Den, for Halloween night. Robin and Linda Williams will be performing with Common Ground.
And Canadian history based folk group Tanglefoot stops by Lethbridge, Friday, Nov. 27 on their farewell tour.
Then Highwater Jug Band will open the new year on Jan. 9. The Lester Quitzau trio will be playing the blues, Feb. 6.
And if you missed Katherine Wheatley and Wendell Fergusson at the Round Street Cafe a few months ago, don’t miss their March 6 show at the Wolf’s Den.
If you like Celtic music, Calgary’s Tir Na n’Og performs April 10.
And Cree musician Phyliss Sinclair stops by the Wolf’s Den May 8.
Open mics will continue on the second and fourth Fridays of the month at the Wolf’s Den. As always everyone is welcome to play.
