Awaken and excite your senses as RavynMan Events
brings the nightlife experience of New York City to Lethbridge on June 1st with
NYCinYQL.
RavynMan Events, with support from B93.3 and BassWorks Entertainment is transforming
the Canadian Western Bank Lounge at Enmax Centre into an upscale New York City
nightclub for one unique evening that will awaken and excite your senses.
NYCinYQL is the creation of Christy & Steve Baines, and their best friend Bill
Jensen; all local residents with something in common. Christy is confident that they
are not alone in what unites them “We may be 30 somethings with 9 kids between us
but we still want to go out and have a good time, we still want to dance and have
fun, but the typical bar scene caters to the 18-24 singles crowd”.
Bill emphasizes the passion behind the creation of RavynMan “our love of the music
and our enthusiasm to dance has not waned, but our taste in the quality of the
experience has become more discerning”.
The decision to put on an event like this in Lethbridge, was an easy one for Steve
“I love dancing with Christy and I love how she looks when we go out, but our bank
account doesn’t like how much travel costs to take her to a place where she feels
comfortable getting all dressed up and letting loose”.
When asked what their plans were for the future of RavynMan after NYCinYQL Christy
replied “If our fellow 30 somethings embrace this opportunity to awaken and excite
their senses and NYCinYQL is a success then we have much bigger plans not just
locally but eventually, globally” after which Bill continued “and if no one shows up
well then we are going to have one hell of a party with some incredible friends”.
Tailored for discerning 30 somethings NYCinYQL is designed to bring the atmosphere
and experience of NYC to YQL. BassWorks Entertainment will be setting the mood of
NYC’s trendiest electronic music with live performances by DJ Streeter & DJ Rick
Sharma featuring the BassWorks Dancers.
The UofL’s Object Manipulators will also be performing and Natalie Baman shares her
groups enthusiasm “We are all so excited to be able to perform at such a unique
event, and to wear our new costumes!”
The dress code for NYCinYQL is Dress to Impress. Regular tickets are $25 each and
attendees will enjoy a full bar with NYC Inspired Martinis and Draught Beers.
Reserved VIP Booths are $95 for two people and $180 for four people. VIPs will enjoy
a premium seating location featuring table service, complimentary hors d’oeuvres,
and a private bar.
