Streetheart steals hearts and recalls memories

E-mail Print PDF

Streetheart  stole the hearts of  a packed Average Joes, Oct. 29 with a hit heavy set of Can-con classic Streethearts’ Kenny Shields leads his band through a set of hits. Photo by Richard Ameryrock.
“We play the music  you remember and the music you love,” said beaming lead singer Kenny Shields to the enthusiastic crowd before continuing his set which had the dance floor  full of people   dancing to radio standards like “Here Comes The Night,”, “Hollywood, ” “What Kind of Love is This,” “Under My Thumb” “Snow White” and “Tin Soldier.”
They had the audience “under their thumbs,” grooving and dancing throughout, even during a long and loud bass solo during one of the songs.

The band had it together and Shields still displayed an impressive voice and entertaining stage presence.
