Janni Lee band officially opens Whispers

E-mail Print PDF

The Janni Lee Band officially opened Whispers, Sept. 30. Photo by Richard AmeryThe Janni Lee band officially opened Whispers, Sept. 30. And while the  band played at a volume that was more of a dull roar than a whisper, Janni Lee’s tight band showed off their bluesy souls.

She sang a couple very impressive Rolling Stones songs “Miss You,” and  “Beast of Burden,” covering all the vocal parts.

She also sang a credible Bob Marley song as well as  modern British blues and soul by artists like  Pixxie Lott and  Aretha Franklin’s “I Never Loved a Man” which she made sound like Janis Joplin.
