Jesse and the Dandelions back with laid back feel

E-mail Print PDF

Jesse Northey playing with Jesse and the Dandelions. Photo by Richard AmeryJesse and the Dandelions play a lot around Lethbridge, but I haven’t seen them for a while. So it was great to get reacquainted with their pleasant melodies and U2 tinged ambient guitar at the Slice, Jan. 25.

While I unfortunately just missed the Utilities and Windigo (who I really wanted to see), I was, as always impressed with frontman Jesse Northey’s voice and guitar. Evan Eushenko stepped right up and fit right in on bass.

They played a lot of new material, which fit right in with older material. So there were lots of pleasant melodies and a laid back, ambient feel.
