Eclectic night of rock with Indigo Joseph and Go for the Eyes

The Owl Acoustic Lounge hosted an eclectic night of rock music at their after party for CKXU’s Love and Records 2013, Sept. Indigo Joseph Played an eclectic set of music. Photo by Richard Amery14.

While I unfortunately missed Pandacorn, I was very impressed by fellow Saskatchewan band  Indigo Joseph.

They touched on a variety of styles of music including a touch of  keyboard powered ’80s rock, a little bit of soul and R and B, some  upbeat Beatles style pop and catchy garage rock.

They had a rock solid groove throughout their set, which was all the more impressive as the individual band members effortlessly switched instruments  while barely missing a beat. Their last song  “Then I’ll be happy” was one of my favourites,” which was made all the more fascinating as one of the band members put on a giraffe head mask.

Calgary’s “Go For the Eyes”, hot off the heels of playing the Labour Day Classic football game were next with a  hot set of energetic rock. They get better every time I see them. There Go For The Eyes playing a strong set. Photo by Richard Amerywere a lot of keyboards, a lot of melody and vocalist Elise Roller jumped all over the stage, playing keyboards and singing.
