“ I don’t want this tour to end, so I called Steve at the Owl and we extended it for one more show,” said Nash, recovering from her  BreakOut West performance in Calgary.
She met Caroline through mutual friend and musician Tyler Gilbert— the duo instantly connected, so Nash flew out to Yellowknife to meet her.

“I spent a lot of time in her SUV,” Nash enthused adding their voices complement each other well.

“She’s got a really ethereal voice, my voice is a lot different,” she continued.
“She also has a happier sound, while when I sing it’s a lot more dark,” she continued.

They have played 16 gigs together since Sept. 19.

Sometimes they will sing on each other’s songs, other times it is two solo sets.

“ We had two gigs on one of those days. It’s out first time touring together. If I had my way, I’d make it an annual event,” she said.
“ I just love touring so much and I’m young, so I might as well. We haven’t slept on many floors this tour, it’s been mostly hotels, so it’s been luxury,” she said.

She is touring on her new solo EP “She Said, She Said.”
“Originally I recorded it as just bed tracks, but I liked the feel of it so much, I released it on Bandcamp and the response was so good. It’s nice to hear other musicians who say they really dig it,” she enthused.

“The first CD was a full band production, but it’s nice to see the other side,” she said adding she may expand it into a full length CD.

“I do envision them with full band arrangements,” she said adding she also needs to finish the new Pandacorn CD with Brodie Mohninger.

“We need to set a deadline for it. Because I went on tour and Brodie is involved with other projects, so we need to do it pretty quickly,” she said.
Megan Nash and Mary Caroline play the Owl Acoustic Lounge on Thursday, Oct. 10. there is no cover charge for the show.
