Henotic had a massive crowd for the Myelin Sheaths’s 7 inch single release party, Jan. 9.

The lead guitarist was lost in the writhing crowd while he played searingly tortured solos.

Edmonton duo The Famines created a chaotic scene  with an intense garage rock. Guitarist Raymond E Biesinger flailed and railed and writhed as he unleashed sheets of white noise which actually sounded like a fuzzed out bass. Drummer Garrett Heath Kruger thunderously pounded the skins and sounded like there were several drummers on stage.

The Myelin Sheaths took the stage for a surprisingly tight set which had the audience singing/ shouting along.

And while guitarist Joel Butler, with a newly shaved skull, busted a string during a tight original  which kicked off  their  set, but there were no holds barred as soon as he found a new guitar.

As drummer Paul Lawton yelled out a Ramones style  1-2-3-4- count, the  band launched into tight set which sounded like they rehearsed a lot for this gig and showed how much potential they have. Their likable brand of science punk kept the crowd jumping through the night.

The crowd lifted bassist Martine Menard up in the air for a touch of crowd surfing.  She had a few sharp words for whoever it was who tickled her while she was in the air.

They even premiered a new song which sounded pretty sweet.
