Even  frontman Trevor Mann doesn’t know what that means, but they will show audiences  at the Owl Acoustic Lounge, Saturday, April 18.
“ We’re not good at labeling ourselves. But we were in Winnipeg and somebody came up and said, you guys sound like the Prairies. You sound like where you come from. I don’t know what that means, but we’ll take it,” Mann said, waking up from a nap in the back seat of the band’s van on the way back from Jasper.

“ It’s funny how each province has their own sound. We played with a Toronto band, and you can hear it,” he continued.  I supposed you could call us indie- folk rock,” he said adding the band includes life long friends, bassist Murray Wood, who Mann has known since he was five and drummer Shea Connor, who he has known since he was 11.
They are going to tour Germany in May, but before that they are hoping for a good show in Lethbridge.

“ We were first there two years ago, but it was just me and  the drummer. It was at the Slice on a Monday night and the place definitely wasn’t bouncing,” he said.
“But now our bass player is back with us,” he said.

“ We’ve known each other for a long time. So we’re just doing what we love to do— getting up on stage and hanging out and jamming. We’re lucky people want to hear us doing that,” he continued.
The band released their most recent album “Warrington” in June, 204.

“We released it on June 6 of 2014, but we’re trying not to be lazy about it. We’ve got new songs in our pocket, but we’ll save them for a new album which we want to have out next year.
The band is finishing this leg of the tour before  going  home for a good rest  before heading to Germany for  14 shows in 15 days, then another three in the United Kingdom.
“ We’re trying to get as much rest as we can and eat as much good food as possible,” he said adding while,he and   the drummer Shea Connor backpacked around Germany, this will be the band’s first time playing there.

“We’ve talked to other band who have played there an they say crowds really respond. if you a re half way good at  what you do, they'll want  you to keep going,” he said.
“ So we’re going over to see what we can do over there,” he continued.

He is looking forward to the long awaited return to Lethbridge.
“It will be a while, because we]re coming back to play Love and Records,” he said.

“ We play around Edmonton a lot and we music have been to Calgary 100 times. So now we’re coming to Lethbridge. We hope to see people out and having a good time. So we’ll make the most of it,” he said.
There is no cover for the show, which begins at 9 p.m. at the Owl Acoustic Lounge, April 18.
