Slocan Ramblers rip it up bluegrass style

E-mail Print PDF

I was saddened to only catch the last song of the Slocan Ramblers’ return to Lethbridge for anThe Slocan Ramblers playing the Owl Acoustic Lounge, Nov. 18. Photo by Richard Amery energetic show of shred dominated bluegrass music at the Owl Acoustic Lounge, Nov. 18.

As expected, as I last saw them at the Geomatic Attic on July 29.

I only caught the last couple of songs then, but just like that time, was blown away by their quick picking on mandolin, banjo and guitar backed by thudding upright bass.

The also showed some superb vocal harmonies gathered around a single microphone old school.
