Emerson Drive play a heap of hits

E-mail Print PDF

As expected, country stars Emerson Drive played all the hits you could ever want at Average Joes, May 28. I arrived early in their set in time to hear many of them played behind a digital Emerson Drive backdrop.

They definitely have a lot to choose from and were well on their way to playing most of them including their newest hits “Good Hurt.”

They went back  few years for “I Love this Road” which had a lot of pretty girls dancing with themselves in front of the stage. A lot of their songs were about beautiful girls including “ That Kind Of Beautiful” and “She Always Gets What She Wants,” which were early in their set.

“My Kind of Crazy” was another highlight.

The band was very tight, with plenty of melody, vocal harmonies and the odd harmonized guitar solo.
I had to catch a few other gigs as they wound up “ The Extra Mile” and went into “Sleep it Off.”
