Biloxi Parish and Dearly Departed play Halloween preview

E-mail Print PDF

I wanted to catch Biloxi Parish at the Owl Acoustic Lounge, Nov. 29, where they were playing a Halloween preview with the Dearly Departed.

Unfortunately I just missed Biloxi Parish and had to wait around for local zombie inspired roots/ country band  The Dearly Departed to set up.

When they got going, all sporting  Halloween costumes. Frontman Steve Foord looked sinister  dressed up as, I think, the girl from “ the Ring.” Drummer Clayton Smith  was dressed as Mr. Peanut and kept his costume on for most of the set.

Guitarist Devin Gergel was dressed, possibly as Kurt Cobain and fiddle player Megan brown looked adorable in a blue skirt, white blouse and colourful bows, which may have been Daisy Duck.
She played  gorgeous fiddle as Foord howled about zombies an suchlike. They played  a pretty gripping set captivating a decent sized audience.
