Back to school week features laughter and punk music

 ImpromptOu, sets sail with  their new  improvised soap opera, the Gommorrah Love Boat at a special outdoor show on , Saturday, Sept. 5.


 But you have to buy a ticket for $11 (Including service fees) through the Theatre Outré website to find out the location.
 Good Times features well known comedian Noor Kidwai  all weekend. Toronto based Kidwai, who has been featured on Sirius XM and CBC, performs two shows each night, Sept. 4 and 5 at 7 p.m. and 9:30 p.m.. Tickets are $15.

It is also a good weekend to rock at the Slice.


 Local emo trio the Pomeranian Fight Club hit the Slice stage, Sept. 4 at 9 p.m.

Get your punk on  on Sept. 5 as Sessions release their new EP “ Reach Around thew World,” with special guests, Berserker and the Oi Street Scoundrels. Due to Covid restrictions, there are only 50 tickets available, which you can get for $10 by contacting the bands.


 The Owl Acoustic Lounge is starting to feature music on their outdoor patio from 8-10 p.m. on weekends. They have a special treat in store for Saturday, Sept 5. Jenny Allen, one third of folk trio the Fates, returns to the stage with Pete Loughlin. George Arsene will be opening the show. Admission is by donation.

And Michael Bernard Fitzgerald brings his Greenbriar farm show to southern Alberta to Lethbridge and Pincher Creek on Wednesday in support of his latest CD, “Love Valley” but both shows are sold out.
