Peter and the Wolves bring rockabilly energy to the Slice

E-mail Print PDF

Peter and the Wolves’s boisterous ’50s energy  was just what I needed after a long day in Calgary, Friday, Dec.17.

They returned to the Slice to play Lethbridge for the third time in about as many weeks.

I arrived just in time to catch their last few songs as the crowd was starting to thin.

As usual Peter Cormier was doing double duty on piano, guitar and lead vocals.

They had a different bassist playing, but he fit right in.

Unless I missed them there were no tried and true rockabilly tricks like Cormier standing on the side of of the bass to solo.

They ended their show around 1 a.m. with “Runaround Sue.”
