Manvils rock the house

E-mail Print PDF
Mikey Manvil was in his element on stage, May 29. Photo by Richard AmeryThe Manvils put on a wicked show at the Slice that went  well past 2 a.m., May 29. They had Planet Telex as well as Lustre Creame to help stretch things out. As last time they were here, they  were done before midnight, being the only band on the bill.
Lustre Cream played much of the same set they played that afternoon at the Hungarian Hall, except this time, the full house was well into it. They got the audience properly primed for the onslaught of the Manvils, who played their typically energetic  set.  As always the Manvils rocked the place.
Guitarist/singer Mikey Manvil leaped all over the stage and into the enthusiastically cheering crowd. He played through much of their new Clash influenced, self titled CD as well as several older tracks and another one that was only four days old.
