The Lethbridge Folk Club had a good crowd for Kootenays folk trio RedGirl, Saturday, April 1 at the Lethbridge College Cave. Redgirl aka Anie Radish and Michael Hepher plus an upright bassist, enraptured  the audience with up beat old time string band. A Mighty Wind style ’60s folk.

They emphasized they weren’t a bluegrass band, though a couple songs like Blue Ridge Mountain Blues which came close.

Michael Hepher, who is also part of the Doggone Brothers plucked an eight string mandocello and switched between guitar and mandolin.

Anie  Radish also alternated between instruments.

They  got the audience to sing along near the end of the show.

They played a Slocan Ramblers song a “ Won’t You Come Back Home.”

They ended their set by asking opening act Kavanagh and Hepher to join them on one final jam.
