Tyrants of Chaos bring classic metal back to the Slice

E-mail Print PDF

I caught bits and pieces of Tyrants of Chaos at the Slice, Friday, June 2.

They started off their usual high energy set of New Wave of British Heavy metal  inspired original rock, with a handful of older songs before  moving on to their latest album Relentless Thirst For Power.

That meant there were a lot of intense riffs,  a ferocious rhythmic attack, plenty of dual guitar harmonies and the shrieking air raid siren vocals of  frontman Phil Sirias who was doubtlessly priming his pipes for tonight’s( June 9) Tyrants Priest tribute at the Place .

“ Chaos Train” is always a a crowd favourite and it was here .

They wound down their set with one of the new singles “Slay the Hostages” and ended with  “Lucky Dog.”

They were called back for an encore of a song I think was called “Burning Time.”
