Theoretically Brewing welcomes Yarbo for all ages show

E-mail Print PDF

Theoretically Brewing  has a busy summer full of a variety of shows.

They had an all ages gig on Thursday, May 16 with Saskatoon alternative rock band Yarbo and local prog rock/ emo favourites Alec Arms.

I only caught the last couple of songs from post hardcore band Yarbo’s scrappy set of noisy alternative  rock  and screamo  music that had a good sized cohort of kids in front to the stage digging the sound and moving to the  rhythm.

But they were there mostly for Alec Arms, repeatedly  chanting “Alec Arms” as the trio began.

Alec Arms are always a lot of fun. They played a solid set of upbeat, riff heavy alternative rock and impassioned vocals,  which had  a wisp of the Foo Fighters.

They had plenty of riffs and tempo change throughout their songs, which included  crowd favourites and new material like “ Doomsday” and “Inside Scoop.”

I missed the opening set from 4BPM.
