I don’t make it to as many Attainable Records shows as I’d like to, but definitely made a point of making it to a well attended fundraiser for the Lethbridge  Shelter, Jan. 6, on a chilly, snowy winter night.Advertisement’s Adrian Sutherland on the floor of Attainable Records. A  good sized crowd raised over $838.75 for the shelter.

As a bonus it was also the last show for local punk/ alternative rock trio Advertisement.

Unfortunately I missed opening sets from local bands With Gorgon Arms and Fox Eyes, but got there in time for  a rare local chow from  Chief Mountain.

Chief Mountain were powered by a pair of drummer and a lot of punk/ garage rock energy.

They played an intense set  or mostly original punk and garage rock music including elements of surf music and a lot of drunken angst.

Advertisement went out in style with a furious, hyper-energetic set of original music featuring writhing frontman/ guitarist Adrian Sutherland, who leaped into the audience and rolled around on the floor for a couple of songs.
Their set was full of burst of punk intensity and noisy alternative rock.

They were called back for an encore of one of my favourite Advertisement songs  “Commodity.”
