Early night for last class bashes

I’ve never heard of last class bashes ending by midnight, however a variety of shows ended up doing just that, April 15.Penny Fortune at Scores, April 15. Photo by Richard Amery

At the Owl, April 15, the Barefoot Band took some time starting but delivered a solid set of pleasant vocal harmonies and folk/ pop music.

They sang a very cool folk version of ‘No Rain’ by Blind Melon.
I wanted to see Smokestack Jacks at Scores South’s Mardi Gras themed last class bash, but missed them as they were on at 10. I caught the tail end of rap duo Penny Fortune’s upbeat set which had numerous masked celebrators up and dancing.

I also caught the tail end of a sold out show by Canadian rap star Classified at the Stone, April 15.
He and his band had the beer drenched floor packed with enthusiastic dancers before ending just after nm.
