Vancouver based glam rock band the Gay ’90s get bigger and better every time the come to Lethbridge, as they did, Wednesday, Oct. 15 for their third visit to the Slice in a year.

 They played a short, but sweet set of strongly mid-70s influenced rock music very much reminiscent of  David Bowie. They had  a full light show and smoke on the stage.

Musically they drew a lot from mid ’70s bands adding quite a bit of soul with crunchy, melodic pop rock music.

 They enhanced the ’70s vibe with with vintage keyboard sounds and impressive vocals which came close to replicating Bowie's highest notes.

 They added Alexis Young on percussion and background vocals to  fill out the band's huge sound.
 They wound down their short set with a solid cover of Tom Petty's “American Girl.”
