Shakespeare Meets Dickens returns to Casa

Shakespeare Meets Dickens returned to Casa, Wednesday, Dec 15. A good sized, masked crowd of approximately 60 enjoyed the relatively new Lethbridge tradition, which had to take a break last year because of Covid.

I could only stay for a the first past of the Reader’s Theatre version of Charle Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol.”

After a few words from Artistic Director Kate Conolly, she opened the show by leading a group in a  singalong of “Jingle Bells.”

The Lethbridge Shakespeare Performance Society board plus Sheila Matson, all dressed in costume, read all the parts from the beloved Christmas story.

Bell ringer David Miller rang bells to represent the clock chiming the hours of the ghost.

The Porter scene from MacBeth and Ghost scene from Hamlet were still to be performed as well as several musical performances.
