Several local bands got together to play other bands at the Slice for the Lethbridge Girls Rock Camp, Friday, Oct. 21.
I was looking forwrd to Fawns playing Incubus, but was only able to stay for local synth pop duo Withiddenoise featuring Victoria Nestorowicz (vocals, lyrics) and Nicholas Colyer *guitar, bass, keyboards, programming) .
They were supposed to play a set of Beach House covers, but also added original music and ’80s synth pop hits from bands like the Human League and a trance inducing version of the Eurythmics’ “Here Comes the Rain Again.”
I missed sets by a rebranded Molly the Boy Cat, Sometimes Always coviering the Breeders and September Crows doing Nirvana.
