April ends with lots of laughs, poetry and jazz music and a lot more.

 The week starts early with  Hamilton funnyman B.A. Johnston who returns to the Owl Acoustic Lounge with Peace for Bombs on Tuesday, April 25.

 Sheena Lawson and  Randy Paskuski return to the Watertower Grill to play some jazz music, on Wednesday, April 26.

 

 Wednesday is an eclectic night with  the monthly poetry open mic  at the Owl Acoustic Lounge hosted by Teri Petz.

 

The Slice rocks on Wednesday, April 27 with Switched off and Banff based skate punk band All Time Everywhere.

 

 Thursday  features  a couple great shows.

 the Geomatic Attic has an excellent roots and folk concert planned with Matt Patershuk, Carter Felker and Emily Triggs.

The Slice hosts Australian  born/ Chicago based bluesman Michael Charles. The weekend is full of something for everybody.

 FOE  (Fractures of  Etalon) bring the rock to honkers Pub’s open mic on Friday, April 28.

 For something a little more low key, The Place hosts  duelling Pianos  with Canmore based Duelling Piano Piano Kings, April 28. Tickets are $15. Doors open at 7 p.m.

Theoretically  Brewing has an excellent pop/ country show with Bailey  Kate and Slow Honey.

 The Bamboo Guppies return to Casino Lethbridge’s stage to play a little bit of everything.

 

 The Owl Acoustic Lounge has female powered rock and roll and dark roots music with Lady Grime and Makiisma.

 

 The Slice  gets soulful with B.C band Ranger and local pop/funk and soul band Good Love band, who are always a good time.

 

Down the road in Fort Macleod,  The lonesome Ace String band  hit the stage at the empress Theatre. Tickets are $37.50. The show begins at 7:30 p.m.

 

 Open Saturday, April  29, with The Spring edition of the Lethbridge Handmade Market at  Exhibition Park beginning at 9 a.m. 

 

 The Lethbridge Symphony orchestra celebrates Spring at the Sandman Signature  with a  big fundraising concert “Springtime in Paris.” The Symphony Soiree, formerly ‘Love Notes’ begins at 6 p.m. with  a sit down dinner at 7 p.m., champagne and  an array of cabaret style torch ballads performed by Museaus and much more. Tickets are $150.

 

 Cal Toth and Anna McBryan bring their duelling pianos back to Honkers Pub, April 29.

 

 The Slice  brings back Calgary band l’omelette to play their  unique blend of saxophone powered jazz, rock, pop and R and B.

 

 And  local country band Badlands return to the Owl Acoustic Lounge.

 

 Things heat up early next week too.

 Lethbridge gets a  double dose of  Classic rock icons The Stampeders who play the Yates Theatre, May 2. They will be playing all their hits including “ Sweet City Woman,” “ Hit the Road Jack” and more. Tickets are $88.  The show begins at  7:30 p.m. each night.

 Edmonton raised, Vancouver Island based blues/ rock  musician Kimberley macGregor  make s along awaited return to Lethbridge May 2  when she play s thew Owl acoustic Lounge with her band.
