L’omelette brings sweaty, saxy show to Slice

Calgary based jazz rock band l’omelette returned to the Slice, Friday, Feb. 16 with new music,   a whole lot of sax and a ’50s vibe for a good sized crowd.

As usual the show featured Megs Benedict ( Thompson)’s soulful vocals and saxophone, her Peter and the Wolves bandmate Peter Cormier holding down the beat on drums, locked in with bassist Matthew Lowe.

Alex Klipper added funk tinged guitar licks  for a how, sweaty, energetic set full of fun and plenty of saxophone.

 I missed Makiisma’s opening set.
