By himself or with his band The Gravestone Lickers he presents a show that is musically brilliant and freakishly entertaining. The instrumentation is guitar, standup bass, mandolin,tenor banjo, dobro, stradovarious washboard and kitchen sink tuba. Hank has released four C.Ds to date, Donkies and Tire Fires, Hoorah for Washboard Hank, Big Fun for Kids and Sweet Mysteries of Life.

Nanaimo singer/songwriter Country Legs writes when I was a little girl I came home from school one day and said to my mom "mom I need a dress, I'm singing in a competition tomorrow" and she said "can you sing?" So I stood, hands on hips, and belted out my song and when I was done she simply said "well I guess we'd better get you a dress"
