A fun night filled with singer songwriters Joal Kamps, Katelyn Steinwand, Jesse Northey and more.
Born just East of the Rocky Mountains in Calgary Alberta, Joal Kamps
has always had an affinity for the arts and the outdoors. The Canadian
Rockies often provide a much needed escape for Kamps as he ventures off
into the wilderness to recharge his spirit and find much of his
artistic inspiration for new songs and visual works.

Since 2008, Joal has released two EP’s, signed a distribution
contract for North America and Europe, completed three Western Canadian
tours, and has performed at festival dates across Western Canada, the
United States, and Europe! This first European Tour saw him play 18
dates across the Netherlands and Belgium. He also produced a
professional music video for his first album, done numerous live video
performances, has secured grant funding for recording, and is back in
studio working on his first ever full length record. At this point it
looks like nothing will slow him down; it’s full speed ahead!
Kamps' latest release 'the RED ep' is out now - and available on iTUNES, CD Baby, and other online retailers.

About Katelyn Steinwand www.myspace.com/katelynsteinwand
I
write these songs because I am compelled to do so. Something deep
inside of me needs this release, this beautiful escape in which music
seems to offer me so perfectly. For a moment I am beholden. For a time,
I am consumed. Inspiration is all around me; often times the most
painful experience produces the most meaningful art. This is art. This
is subjective. Take from it what you will and leave behind what fails
to move you. Know though that all of this comes straight from my heart.
As much as this is my release, I want it to be yours too. As much as it
is my escape, I want it to be yours as well. How beautiful it is when
we discover we are not in this alone! This life is full of mutual
experiences… we just tend to perceive our experiences as individual and
exclusive. Music can offer that sense of community that seems to be so
lacking today, that chance to understand and to feel understood...even
if only for a short moment. In the end, I just want connection through
raw uncensored expression. In the end I just want to move and be moved.
Let this be the catalyst, let this be the long awaited moment of
catharsis…let it be whatever it is you need it to be most. -KS
