Ah! Bee Normal http://www.facebook.com/pages/Ah-Bee-Normal/110758702281475#!/pages/Ah-Bee-Normal/110758702281475?v=info has been a band and has toured Southern AB and some in
B.C for upwards of 18 years! The main core group of Jeff Axworthy, Rick
Arelis and Norm Peters have been together throughout the 18 years.
Jeff
who has become such a versatile player over the years...To go along
with his main duties of playing rhythm guitar, he also manages to sing
harmonies and play some keyboards. At times he's been known to play all
three in one song!
Rick Arelis brings his hard hitting, in your face
guitar solos to his solid lead guitar role to which he is one of the
best around...He sings lead in at least a few songs a night and adds
harmonies to others.
Norm Peters gives the band a good, steady beat
and is the glue that holds the fabric of the band together. His drumming
has been the backbone of the bands success and he shows absolutely no
signs of slowing down.
Although bass players and singers have come
and gone as the years have passed...each one has added their own flare
and influences on the bands players and styles of music played.
However
the last 3 plus years the band has been fronted by vocalist Rory
Freeman...who has brought a unique sound, wide range of vocal capability
and a love for all music to the table. He adds harmonies when Rick
takes the lead and he can also play a pretty mean cow bell!
A solid
bass player in Mitch Van Dyk has added a good presence, dedication and
loyalty to go along with his boomy bass playing. This is his first time
playing in a gigging band and he is loving every minute of his stage
experiences. He was originally a guitar player and is friends with/has
jammed with Jeff, Norm, and Rick for years, and when he heard there was a
bass player opening, he jumped at the chance even though it meant
converting from the guitar to a bass.
Ah! Bee Normal loves to play
their music/instruments and loves to entertain! They look forward to
many more years of expanding success and they'd love to see everybody
and anybody in the audience at their shows. Thank you all for your
continued support!! :)
