The Undersigned is comprised of Rejean Jeannotte-Bass & vocals, Josh McIsaac-Guitar & vocals, and Blake Gagnon-Drums & vocals. 

The Undersigned played their debut show at a private party at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Lethbridge, Alberta on February 20, 2010. Over what turned out to be roughly a two hour set, we played an even mix of covers and originals, which were met with an overwhelmingly positive reaction. Whether it was becasue most of the people know us remains to be seen. The show seemed to go well from a band standpoint as we played solidly and had a great live sound. Something we can thank each other for as we did our own sound set-up. The one sound issue we ran into was that, we would have preferred to have mics on the drums, but they came out pretty well anyway.

So what next? As a band we've come to a cross-roads, not being sure if we want to continue doing shows or if we want to get recording first is a problem we are now wrestling with. Playing shows is definitely a great idea, but we need to figure out if we're going to continue playing covers along with our originals, as playing covers helps to fill out time and gives the audience some familiarity to work with. On the otherhand, if you just play originals, the audience has no choice but to really notice what you're doing as a band and make their true judgements about whether or not they appreciate your music. A definite quandry, to say the least.Another point to make, is that if you go ahead and do some good recording, such as a demo, you can have something solid in place to feed to the local establishments before they book you, and the any label that come along will get a good representation of the sound of the band.

We'll keep everyone posted in the coming months as to how things are going and to what direction we're going to take. What I can say for the time being is that their is way too much potential in this group for us not to explore every avenue we can in order to get ourselves out there and get the music heard by all you wonderful people. For those of you who were at the show you know what I'm talking about.
