Everyone is welcome to play at  the 1010’s open mic with local grunge/ rock band Double Jack. ttp://www.doublejack.ca or www.myspace.com/doublejacktheband 

Double Jack was formed in November of 2004. We have played over a hundred local, and out of town shows and have won two battle of the bands. The song “Tribute to Angel” was played on Rock 106.7 in 2005. That song was the champion for the Rock 106.7 Cage Match showdown for five consecutive weeks.

We have opened for such acts as 54-40, Grady, Ten Second Epic, and most recently, Default.

“One Chance”, Double Jack’s first album, sold over 300 copies in the first month. Unfortunately, shortly afterwards, two of the original members went their separate ways.

We have currently completed our second EP and we have decided to record our third album starting this summer.

We see our sound as a mix between grunge metal and riff rock, with a tendency to write strong ballads. With this new, solid group of band members, writers, and most of all friends, Double Jack has never been so dedicated to succeed as it is today. With bigger and better gigs in mind we can’t wait to see what the future has in store for us.
