Kory was born in Regina, grew up in the mountains of British Columbia, and, after attending University in Lethbridge, Ab., returned to Regina in 2006 to continue his music career. He has been performing his brand of renegotiated folk music at festivals and venues around Western Canada for over seven years, sharing stages with some of Canada's favourite touring acts. His writing and vocal performance evoke a raw truth of the world rarely attempted successfully by folk musicians. His honest delivery and subject matter show a writer who has no need for pretension. It is apparent that, on some level or another, he has lived, and not just vividly imagined, every one of his songs. He has collaborated with the Time Pirates since 2007, playing stages at The Regina Folk Festival, The Gateway Festival, The Ness Creek Festival, South Country Fair, Field Festival, and at countless venues from Saskatoon to Cadillac, and Calgary to Winnipeg. The group has released two full-length CDs, (Tie Me to the Tracks-2009 and Sharp Teeth-2007)and are currently working on a third.

this is a tale that is not meant for the faint of heart or those who drink too much caffeine, for the fate of your TIME hangs in the balance. on a spring night, at sometime, at some place, they say you could hear THE passing of the OLD CAPTAIN, a man they say never speaks. thoughts and emotions only emmitted by a shreik that sends chills up the spine of even the most hardenned. some say he was KILLED by HIS own men. others say he betrayed those closest to him and deserved a watery grave. and yet, there are still even more that say he got a GIRLFRIEND. but, even though he may be at the bottom of the sea, the real TERROR still sails, for a crew of three RENEGADES live on to invade our nightmares and CREEP inTO our thoughts at WORK or wherEVER we will spend 1/3 of our life span at. these three seem COMMON enough on the outside. BUT underneath their skin, somewhere behind the nose i THINK..., is a whole different story. like the cosmic rays that have the ability to change and create new molecules, our VILLAINS MAKE their way through YOUR very own genetic DNA, forcing you to unwillingly CHANGE your way of thought on a microscopic LEVEL......still with me? yar?.....yar. a word of the wise; keep YOUR sail at full mast for the only HOPE is TO STAND our ground together and show them that we're not afraid to be COMMON.
