In 2006 "The Dusty Boot Band" started as a four man group including James Dixon, Darren Sillito, JP Lorge ,and Shad Chollack. Recently in the last year or so Tyler Stewart joined the group to add rhythm guitar and lead guitar. Individually the group has a history of playing music for several years. At an early age James Dixon played guitar with a family group and travelled playing on shows with Tommy Hunter. More recently, Darren joined up with Canadian Country Hall of Fame('89) and Country Hall of Honour(98') inductee Ray Griff for a few Alberta/ Sakatchewan shows.
"The Dusty Boot Band" mixes some new country, classic country, and classic rock into their shows. Slowly but surely a few originals have been added also. They are one of only a few bands in Southern Alberta to feature a pedal steel guitar player.
"The Dusty Boot Band" has provided entertainment for almost every occasion. From corporate / business events (Sunlife Financial,), rodeos ( Lethbridge Exhibition spring rodeo and Whoop Up Days main stage with Aaron Lines), private clubs(Casino Lethbridge), and nationally sponsored events (Scott Tournament of Hearts).
The band enjoys the support they get in the Lethbridge area and look forward to playing more venues.
