We are brothers John and Michael Granzow. We make music with Nicole Hembroff (violin, vocals), Kris Hodgson (cello), Dave Hoffos (ukelele, vocals), Erica Hunt (vocals) MaryAnne Mctrowe (ukelele, vocals), Sandeep Mishra (percussion), Jesse Northey (theremin) Clayton Smith (percussion) and Ryan Dyck (pedal steel). Our songs are about old photographs, jobs, disappearing acts, heartbreak, the economy, facebook, entropy, prehensility, the pacific gyre, marketing, coal, vitamin B deficiency, frequentatives, word play, offsets, rafting, repeaters and indiscretion. Last time we were together we recorded six songs in Jesse Northey's
parents' basement. Since then, Jesse has moved out and we've made those
songs into the To Sea EP.
We wanted to play live again, and our
good friends the brothers Freed agreed to host us, so there will be
Slice pizza and whole wheat baguettes and booze. We asked Mary-Anne
McTrowe to play too, and she said yes! Can't wait to see everyone and
play.
