It is not every day that a World Championship takes place in the
city of Lethbridge, but that is what is happening this March as the Ford
World Womens Curling Championship takes place at the Enmax Center.
Average Joe's will get into the act on Saturday, March 24th by presenting
The
Chevelles. This group needs no introduction to Lethbridge audiences as
they are the preeminent local rock group. They also need no introduction
to the curling crowd as they have been feature entertainers at a number
of curling events including the recent Brier in Saskatoon. In fact,
they will be the feature act Friday at The Patch, entertainment venue
for the curling championships.
There will be a cover charge of
$5.00 after 7:30, with the Chevelles concert starting at 9:30 P.M. Come
in and celebrate the women's curling world championships and enjoy some
old time rock and roll at Average Joe's Sports Bar, 420-6th street,
south in Lethbridge.
The place is an arcade/nightclub— 420 - 6 Street South.
