THE LEGENDARY PLATTERS perform songs of the 1950s smash hit R&B/Soul band "The Platters".

"The Platters were one of the top vocal groups of the 1950's, selling 53 million records and being among the first doo-wop groups to be inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall of Fame in 1990.They were inducted into the Vocal Hall of Fame in 1998.

Hear the Legendary Platters perform chart toppers like "Only You", "The Great Pretender", "The Magic Touch", "My Prayer", "Smoke Gets in Your Eyes", and "Twilight Time". 

THE INK SPOTS have been called "living legends of American music and the most imitated entertainers in show business".  With more than eighty chart topping hits, their music spans six decades.  Their music has been used in movie soundtracks like "Shawshank Redemption" and "Radio Days" and on BBC TV's "The Singing Detective."Ray Richardson, current Ink Spots leader, met Charlie Fuqua, one of the original Ink Spots members,  in New York City. That meeting resulted in Ray joining The Ink Spots.  After Charlie's death, Ray replaced him as leader of The Ink Spots, the position Ray still maintains today! See both groups perform here at the Empress in May!
