Fish & Bird are Taylor Ashton and Adam Gray, though not necessarily in that order. These tunesmiths hail from the west coast of Canada and compose melodious concoctions steeped in folk, brewed in the dense coniferous backwoods of their strange minds. Between them, they play banjo, fiddle, mandolin, upright bass, and even guitar. They have released two albums, the latest of which, Left Brain Blues, is still quite young but is already gaining a lot of extremely positive feedback.
Fish & Bird now sometimes performs as a five piece band, with Ryan Boeur on electric guitar, Ben Kelly on drums, and Baxter Hall on bass.

Coco Love Alcorn http://cocolovealcorn.com/ is a fabulous jazz influenced singer-songwriterborn in Nova Scotia.

As a performer, she is always in the moment; joyful and genuine, soulful and compelling. Coco Love Alcorn sings joyful soul; a combination of her diverse musical influences including jazz, pop, R&B and folk. Her voice is hailed as extraordinary1, beautiful2 and stunning3. Her playful and witty character, love of improvising and her willingness to engage fearlessly with the audience has made Coco Love Alcorn a leader and visionary on the Canadian music scene.

Alcorn has gained an incredible and loyal fanbase while touring across Canada numerous times, playing an abundance of music festivals (including the female inspired Lilith Fair) as well as community performances. Over the years she has worked with a diverse and notable list of artists including Ani DiFranco, Burton Cummings, 54•40, Chantal Kreviazuk, Jesse Cook, Steve Poltz, Matt Andersen, Chin Injeti (Bass is Base), Kinnie Starr, Mark Jordan, Gonzales, Lennie Gallant and Loudon Wainwright III. She has enjoyed success in the realm of music licensing, with multiple television song placements in The Dead Zone and The L Word.
Her latest album Joyful (Sound of Pop/Fontana North) is a sparkling alloy of jazz, soul and contemporary folk melded seamlessly into Alcorn’s own distinctive and unique sound. Her writing about love, life and social awareness creates new fan favourites including ‘Intellectual Boys’ ‘Revolution’ and ‘I Got a Bicycle’ which resonate uplifting, strong and passionate lyrics.
Sugar is a delightfully nuanced, down-tempo treasure. Featuring co-writes with Lennie Gallant, Kevin Coles and Coco’s father, Canadian jazz artist John Alcorn, the album explores themes of the heart and the spirit. Produced by Juno Award winner Steve Dawson, this cd is a remarkably assured work from a critically acclaimed artist whose time has truly come. Since its official release on Black Hen Music, Sugar has received much enthusiastic support from press and radio across Canada.
Coco Love Solo is a new collection of seven songs sold only at live shows. Performed and recorded over the course of a single evening in her own home, Solo includes Revolution, a fiery piece of writing that’s become a staple of her personal appearances. Fans are raving about this project–its quirky and honest collection of songs and its highly distinctive packaging. Coco and her husband graphic artist Simon Farla assemble these silk-screened albums individually. Each includes a hand-bound 20 page booklet of drawings, words and photos. This is artistry in its most profoundly intimate form.

Born in Antigonish, Nova Scotia, then growing up between Vancouver and Toronto, Alcorn represents Canada from coast to coast. With a creative family background from both her parents, Alcorn was destined to be an accomplished artistic individual. Her passion for music has fueled her to create six albums and two electronica side projects; however Alcorn’s interests have reached far past the realm of song. Currently, she has her own clothing brand Simon + Coco, a collaboration between her and her husband, that she describes as up-cycle clothing with Cococentric silkscreen designs.
