Fish & Bird are Taylor Ashton and Adam Gray, though not necessarily in that order. These tunesmiths hail from the west coast of Canada and compose melodious concoctions steeped in folk, brewed in the dense coniferous backwoods of their strange minds. Between them, they play banjo, fiddle, mandolin, upright bass, and even guitar. They have released two albums, the latest of which, Left Brain Blues, is still quite young but is already gaining a lot of extremely positive feedback.
Fish & Bird now sometimes performs as a five piece band, with Ryan Boeur on electric guitar, Ben Kelly on drums, and Baxter Hall on bass.

Her latest album Joyful (Sound of Pop/Fontana North) is a sparkling alloy of jazz, soul and contemporary folk melded seamlessly into Alcorn’s own distinctive and unique sound. Her writing about love, life and social awareness creates new fan favourites including ‘Intellectual Boys’ ‘Revolution’ and ‘I Got a Bicycle’ which resonate uplifting, strong and passionate lyrics.

Coco Love Solo is a new collection of seven songs sold only at live shows. Performed and recorded over the course of a single evening in her own home, Solo includes Revolution, a fiery piece of writing that’s become a staple of her personal appearances. Fans are raving about this project–its quirky and honest collection of songs and its highly distinctive packaging. Coco and her husband graphic artist Simon Farla assemble these silk-screened albums individually. Each includes a hand-bound 20 page booklet of drawings, words and photos.
