Anthony Blaine and the Bare Bones Orchestra are a Calgary based trio.

We're called the Bare Bones Orchestra and Anthony Blaine
Though it's kinda hard to establish why we picked that name
Anthony goes by Tony when he isn't on the stage
And there's never been an orchestra with less instrumental range.

To explain it best, we like to take a minimalist approach
with silences and melodies and lyrics all on note.
Tony teaches music and records folks on the side
Dan installs fireplaces and drums to keep in stride

Lee says he's "retired", though he's such a young age
Too bad it's not affordable when you never make a wage.
We all have played our instruments since we were just kids
Dreaming every day of playing bigger and bigger gigs

So with no more delay, just take it in, listen, look in awe
Here we are Anthony Blaine and the Bare Bones Orchestra!!!!

Black Diamond Bay http://www.myspace.com/blackdiamondbay are a Montreal band.

 In August 2007 I put out a seven song EP (Take It Or Leave) with Sunny Lane Records under the name Krief. To play these songs live I called upon my cousin Andre Bendahan (Bass), George Donoso III (Drums) and Roberto Piccioni (Keys). The shape the songs were taking live was so much bigger than that of the recordings that we couldn’t justify not having a name for that sound. So Black Diamond Bay was born. After over a hundred shows together we started to put together what is now our debut album “Calm Awaits”. The album was tracked at home and in various studios and found its way into the hands of the one and only David Schiffman for a world class mix.

Calm Awaits is all that we wanted it to be and more, we feel blessed by it and all that surrounded it (everyone who helped us make it, the moments that inspired it etc). It’s warm, vulnerable and honest, and something we’ll hold close to our hearts forever.

We hope to see you somewhere along the way as we plan on touring this album heavily.
