Pop-Punk for the masses! Greater Than Giants is making a pit stop through Lethbridge on their cross Canada tour and they've brought some talented allies in Fire Away. Greater Than Giants is an uplifting, party themed, pop punk force that has drawn in fans from many walks of life based off their attitude and talented songwriting skills. Fire Away will be making their first appearance in Lethbridge but they have a hefty reputation behind them as they come in. All the way from Ontario, Fire Away have opened for bands such as gob and been featured on the Vans Warped Tour. Opening up the show will be locals, Lightworker and The Sophmore Jakes. The Sophmore Jakes have held a tight grip on lethbridge's Pop-Punk scene for years being a staple in the local music scene. Having prepared some new songs and fresh off the release of a new Ep with accompanying Music video, these local vets will show us their stuff. Lightworker will start us off with some raw musicianship with a melodic screamo vibe that's attracted a few new faces to the local music scene recently. New local added. 24/7 is a young new pop-punk band from around the area that's created quite a buzz. They'll be opening up the show for us, get psyched!

  Greater Than Giants
http://www.greaterthangiants.com The members of Edmonton based pop punk band Greater Than Giants (TJ Dayy , Wayne MacLellan, Tyler Cerda, Ryan Brodziak, Tim Wilson) have been eating value-menu meals, drinking 40's and peeing in bottles, sacrificing the comforts of home to be on the road as much as they possibly can while creating and sharing the music that they enjoy playing so much. All the while they have kept true to a constant: to hold absolutely nothing back in sound, energy or performance. Each and every band member agrees that there is absolutely nothing like hitting the stage and this became apparent more than ever over the winter of 2010-11 while the Giants were,
ironically enough, not playing shows. After deciding to take an indefinite hiatus (10 or so months to find themselves), the Giants are back! They're a little older, a little smarter, a little fatter, and have new tunes that they need the world to hear. The future is bright for GTG, with plans to record new albums and light up every city in the world with a truly memorable, energy-packed, live show.

Fire Away http://www.fireaway.bandcamp.com We're a five piece pop punk band from Burlington, ON. (Steve Creaturo, Michael Kelly, Christopher Casarin, David Carvalho, Corey Mclaughlin) It's been a long time coming, but what you see now is Fire Away and we're ready to take on anything that comes our way. With any luck, we'll get out on the road soon. If you like us, tell a friend. That helps us a lot.

Since 2004 Southern Alberta's Sophmore Jakes have been honing their unique brand of indie pop punk rock into a sound that can only be characterized as “The most fun I’ve ever seen someone have while playing music”. Their unforgettable live show, boundless energy and sanguine songwriting is filled with the humor and social commentary of five young men Committed to the dream of being working musicians.

Sophmore Jakes Newest album “There’s More to Life than Satellites” is a high energy adventure through the superior vena cava of pop punk, blazing a new trail through an already defined genre. With comparisons to Blink 182, Fall out Boy and All Time Low, “Satellites” has the mature composure of seasoned songwriters with enough youthful hook to keep any listener entertained.  They include Ryland Moranz - Vox, Guitar, Dramatic Irony and Ewoks; Geoff Markey - Bassist and High Fives, Yelling; Jessie Goodfellow- Drums, Hair, General Awesomeness; Kris Goodfellow- Mooger, Synth. Clapping, Precision Beer Pong Throw and Cooper Fleming - Merchandise and Promotion, Web & Graphic design, Cinematography & Photos, occasional Moog Composer plus long walks on the beach.
