We are The Left Behinds. We practice, we write, we play. We made an album! Hurray!
Biography
The band started when Dana asked Greg to play a song with her for a theatre piece. Then they started jamming and writing. Then Ryan came in to bang on drums. Then Dana moved away and we were sad. But then Kathryn said yes when the boys begged her to jam with them and it's been bliss ever since. Dana comes back sometimes too, and then it's even more fun.
Description
We like crescendos and changing electric songs into acoustic ones and then back again.
Band Interests
We are all drama kids. We like to perform and design things. And sing too.
Artists We Also Like
Brand New, The Decemberists, Jesse and the Dandelions, Yes Nice, Noel Johnson, My Mother the Carjacker, The Sophomore Jakes

Jesse and the Dandelions are Jesse Northey, Nick Vedres, and Jon Martin . With the addition of Jon Martin, holding down the fort on the bass, and the original two members of the indie-rock sensation, Jesse and Nick, this band has monumental plans to redefine ‘music you can have fun to.’

Since releasing their first album, The Lion’s Tooth, in the summer of 2010, the band
has been known for their high-energy, interactive performances as well as their catchy
songs that will leave you singing along and dancing for days.
But the fun doesn’t stop there.
The momentum of such a positive response from fans has pushed Jesse and the
Dandelions towards meeting a higher standard.
Jesse Northey, lead singer, guitarist and audio engineer, says he is taking every
initiative to see that the band reaches a new level of musicianship, higher quality of
songs and performances and a greater fan-base.
“We want to have the same standards as the bands we want to play with, while bringing something unique to the table.”
Jesse and the Dandelions also hope to inspire other starting bands, that with a lot of
hard work and by taking the initiative to seek out opportunities, anyone can get to the
top. But regardless of progression, the most important thing to the band will always be to have fun with their music and to ensure everyone is having fun with them.

Jesse and the Dandelions are inspired and have already played alongside Canadian West Coast bands such as Said the Whale, Hey Ocean!, and We Are the City, as well as recently making their debut on CBC Radio 3, and Alberta's province wide station, CKUA. Keep your eyes peeled, your limbo-pants on and your dancing shoes ready, for their second full-length album and tour dates coming soon!
