Tenore, the three-time GMA award winning tenor group that exploded onto the Canadian Gospel Music scene in 2011 with their debut and soared to international acclaim have announced the release of their brand new album “Christmas With You” on November 5th. Sure to be a holiday favourite, the album features both classics and originals and includes a guest appearance from one of the world’s most sought after super star vocalists - Heather Headley. Additionally, the group will kick off a national tour that includes over twenty dates across Canada beginning November 15th in Camrose, AB.
The story behind lead single and title track “Christmas With You” combines magic and providence. Tenore met Headley, best known as one of Andrea Bocelli’s favourite singing partners during a spontaneous meeting in London, England where they had stopped on route to Uganda. The enchanted encounter resulted in an unprecedented recording session between the up-and-coming tenor group and world renowned Headley – both a Grammy and Tony Award winner. Combining the irrepressible power vocals of Tenore with Headley’s soaring voice – “Christmas With You” is breathtaking and delightful – proof they were destined to meet.
Recorded in Nashville, Chicago and Toronto with a collective of world class producers, musicians and a 50 piece orchestra, “Christmas With You” combines the true spirit and magic of the holiday season with Tenore’s diverse vocal harmonies. The album includes holiday classics “It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year,” “O Holy Night,” and “O Come all ye Faithful,” and in addition to Headley features Grammy and JUNO Award winners Sharon Riley & Faith Chorale, along with the world famous Watoto Children’s Choir who join Tenore on the hit song “Where Are You Christmas?” originally recorded by Faith Hill and featured in the popular Universal Pictures film The Grinch.
In their short time together, Tenore has received tremendous acclaim. Nominated for awards in an incredible 7 categories at the GMA Covenant Awards, Tenore walked away with 3 plaques, including the Fan Choice of the Year Award. They have sung to hundreds of thousands from Kampala to California and are known for their powerhouse vocals, rock star charisma and invitations with audiences everywhere to sing along with them, creating a powerful concert experience.
