The Doors Re/Opened (name was
suggested to us by John Densmore himself while doing a book signing at
Criminal Records Atlanta, GA USA.
Biography
The
DOORS Re/Opened formed in 2012. John Densmore (actual drummer of THE
DOORS) suggested the name to Peter Riccioni (playing Ray Manzarek)
friends at a book signing in Atlanta. Johnny Kappelhoff (playing Jim
Morrison) met Peter at a jam where they played a few DOORS songs. The
DOORS Re/Opened is fully equipped with PA, and authentic instruments
that the original DOORS used.
Description
The
Doors Re/opened tries to capture the Doors for what they really were - a
live rock 'n roll band unafraid of jumping off the rehearsed and into
the unknown reminicence of the jazz and blues world of improvisation
spontaneity and rawness. A night with the Doors was a night where
anything could happen "thats what a rock 'n roll band's for". Join "the
Doors Re/opened" for a unique musical journey - the ceremony is about to
begin.
