weirdos from Victoria canada.
The fruit is one part science project, one part art
freak show. A pop group from Victoria BC into the likes of post-punk
gang vocals, jazz guitar weaving, chin ups and juggling soccer balls. A
ball of primal energy, their live show melds humour and visceral
intensity. Their first full-length release, entitled Fruit Salad
featured a collection of songs written during the band’s conception
which are melodic, breathable and rather joyful in nature with darker
and more rigid undertones creeping their way in. They will be releasing a
split 7 inch with Calgary band Smoke Eaters and a tour-only cassette in
April 2016.

A lipstick smear from the west coast of Canada who mixes freak rock
balladry, squalling guitar, and subtle hints of jazz. De Courcy will be
joined by a unique collaboration of Painted Fruits for the duration of
this tour to create a spectacle not seen before on this planet. Fusing
music and theatre, JDC creates his own world of freak-rock and
psych-cabaret expressions by employing an array of ego and persona
roles. Creative, far-out and exploratory, he is in a sense, discovering
this thing into existence.
