12:30 p.m. Bridgette Yarwood (pop/ jazz)

Bridgette Yarwood is a professional singer-songwriter and performer from Alberta, Canada. Originally from Edmonton, she grew up in a very musical household. Her parents were musicians/artists so she would all the time be around that sort of scene. At a young age, typically started out extremely shy but always knew she wanted to be a singer and a musician. She started performing local cafes, restaurants, malls, and community festivals in and around Edmonton at the age of 10. She also plays various instruments like guitar, piano and drums.

At around age 12, she discovered a real passion for jazz. "Of course, I will always be influenced by great older rock bands like Led Zeppelin, Yes and Queen (being that it was always listened to around the house) and they are definitely among my favourites to this day, but I was really drawn to female vocalists like Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughan and DeeDee Bridgewater. Those styles were complex and intricate and while jazz being a tangled mess as it is, I really liked that. I would literally lock myself in my bedroom and sing with these women, hours upon hours, all the while listening to legends like Dave Brubeck, Thelonious Monk and Nat King Cole, but I believe I owe it all to Ella, for she taught me very tricky scales almost unheard of and of course, how to sing them with heart and with passion - she made the greatest impact."

At 16, her and her family moved to Lethbridge and it was at this time, she was beginning to perform regularly in and around the city. A couple years later, Bridgette began to focus her talents on her high energy power pop rock band called "No Such Rules" where she was playing alongside her very talented brothers, Richard Yarwood and Brendon Yarwood. No Such Rules was a band from 2002-2009.

The band had quite a run with the following credits to their name:

- Winner of the ROCK106 "Battle Of The Bands" at The University Of Lethbridge, March 2003

- Winner of the Lethbridge's Spin nightclub "Battle Of The Bands", 2004

- Winner of the Supernova "Battle of the Bands" at The University of Calgary, SAIT GATEWAY, 2004

- Signing with William Nosel ESQ., Los Angeles music attorney for representation for the band No Such Rules

- Recorded full length album entitled "Far Removed From" at Greenhouse Studios in Vancouver, B.C. where others like Nickelback, Bryan Adams and Celine Dion have recorded, 2006

- Her vocals were showcased to the owner/managers at Wind Up Records (Evanescence, Finger Eleven), after hearing Bridgette's voice one of their comments was "simply fantastic!"

- Has toured and performed all across Canada, with her band as well as a solo artist. She's had the opportunity to open up for some great Canadian bands including: The Trews, Bif Naked, SocialCode (Universal Records), Grimskunk (Indica Records), Alpha Galates (EMI Records), The Stampeders, and Kim Mitchell.

- Had radio airplay for the song "Not The Best For My Interior" and a full interview at The BBC Merseyside in Liverpool, UK with Liverpool's very famous radio personality Billy Butler, 2007

- Has won numerous awards from websites like GarageBand and Myspace as well tons of radio airplay on Canadian radio stations.

- Was invited to perform at the annual "Just Plain Folks" Showcase in Nashville, TN at the B.B. King stage, 2009

- In 2009, her band NSR decided to go on a bit of a hiatus due to differences in goals.

As of late, she is the full time owner and operator of Sing A Song That's Yours Vocal Studios, working as a voice instructor for nearly 6 years now. She teaches out of her home based studio in Lethbridge, Alberta. Currently, she performs with three bands in Lethbridge.

3 p.m. – Mahoney http://www.mahoneytime.com/

Mahoney is an acoustic duo made up of Trent Roset and Ryan Massini. Based out of Medicine Hat, they have established themselves as one of Alberta's most sought-after entertainers. Established in 2000, they have performed well over a thousand shows across Western Canada. The duo produces a surprisingly large sound as Ryan and Trent will often play multiple instruments simultaneously. Mahoney has amassed a constantly expanding repertoire of over 400 cover songs, ranging from Snoop Dogg to Johnny Cash; from Toto to Tool. They establish a rapport with the audience through engagement, humour and crowd participation, including "Mahoney-oke" where members of the audience are encouraged to perform live karaoke with the group. In the summer of 2011, Mahoney released their newest recording. "Uncovered" is the third album from Mahoney, but it is their first all original recording. Written, recorded and produced by Mahoney, this album employs a unique radio show format whereby the 12 original tracks are interspersed with banter between T-Rose and Ry-guy, a feel reminiscent of their shows. The full 23 track CD can only be purchased at Mahoney events and online, through Shopify.
