Craig Cardiff has fun with looping melodies

While I missed his first set, he opened his second with a  medley of Paul Simon songs including  ‘Diamonds on the Soles of her Shoes,” and ‘You Can Call Me Al,’ for which he looped several vocal melodies and played and sang over top of them.

He had a pleasant tenor voice and sang catchy melodies as he launched into several originals including  “Listen With your Heart. He added a harmonica for  a couple of songs including “Dance Me Outside which sounded very familiar as he tapped out a rhythm on the guitar body and was especially affecting.

Another touching sound was his “Father Daughter Song,” which was one of several newer songs he played.

Someone from the audience, who were all clustered in the  front row, shouted out a request for ‘Glory Bound,’ which he was happy to play.
“Lenny Bruce Lee,” was another crowd favourite and one of several where he tried to get the audience to sing along. He did get several people waltzing all over the room.

He wound things down with an upbeat singalong song “This Is Not the End.”
