“ We‘re reasonably optimistic though we are on edge,” observed New West Theatre Artistic Director Kelly Reay.

“ But we had to cancel the last few shows of Dear Johnny Deere. We’re reasonably optimistic life will return to normal by a reasonable time,” he continued.

“We are prepared to postpone the beginning of the next season,” he said, adding they have a couple of the popular musical comedy revues as well as a big new musical.

New West Theatre also had to cancel a new fundraiser, scheduled for March 21 called “Cirque Du L.A.” inspired by Cirque Du Soleil.

“We’ll reschedule it. It was going to be fun.We already received a lot of silent auction donations. It would have  featured performers  from New West. We put  a lot of work into it. But at least a lot of the work is already done for it,” he added.
